EVE Market and Manufacturing Tips

How do I search other stations or regions for items for sale at them?
When you open the "market window" up at a station, in the top middle you will see a list called "search region" this defines where you are searching, The maximum search is limited to "region". Being that you can only search regions, you can never make one large search across every system in EvE. You can search the market at just your station, system, constellation, or region. One good thing to do is leave your alternate characters, in distant "regions" of the EvE universe, for quick price checks in those far away regions away from your main character.

How does escrow work and what is it?
Escrow is the player run market where players can sell items that cannot be sold on CCP's normal market. It is not to be confused with the market from CCP at a station. As with any player driven market it has good and bad points for some. The good being you can sell things that the CCP market wont sell like blueprint copies and named modules. The bad point being it is a scammers buyer beware paradise. The golden rule, if you buy from escrow, is to ALWAYS "show info" on what the item actually is and not to trust its name ....many-o-player have bought frigates renamed as a battleship for millions of ISK.

The best way to learn to use the Escrow system is to read the actual game documentation. That is found easily by searching for "escrow" in-game with the help window and search the "knowledge" base section. doing this will open the in game mini-browser and provide you with in game links to information on how to use the escrow system. It is very deep and detailed so it is impossible to cover it all in a tips document.

How do I use a blueprint and make items?
To make items in EvE you need four things. The skill, a blueprint, minerals that match the blueprint requirements and finally a factory slot.
The skill required is "industry". If you do not have the required skills the factory slot will not rent to you. To rent multiple factory slots and make multiple items you will need the skill "Mass Production" which is found in the Industry skills tree.

Things to know about basic manufacturing.

The skill "production efficiency" will lower your material usage, which can be found under the industry skill tree.
