
How
do "petitions" work for support issues?
Petitions are your best resource for support in eve if you feel you truly are
having a problem with the game. Petitions can be opened from the "Help"
menu in game. then Choose "petitions" and then "open new petition".
Be as clear and concise as possible. Give as much information
as accurately as you can if you file a petition. It is much easier for a CCP
rep. to help you when they respond if you do.
Here are a few do's and don't's of petitions....
Don't file a petition in the wrong category to get a
response sooner. This only hurts everyone including you in the long run in the
game.
Do file if you have exhausted all resources and are still having issues playing
EvE.
Do not file more then one petition for the same issue. It will confuse you as
well as the people assisting you and also most likely make you have to be asked
to do things twice.
Do be kind when you petition. We all know when you are struggling it can be
very frustrating. This is the time to exercise the most patience to help get
to the issue and not the frustration relief .
You can delete or cancel or reply to a petition by opening up help/petitions/open
petition/open it/ ...you will see the options to reply, cancel or delete a petition.
Recently, the in game petition system has not operated well if at all (bummer for players). To Submit a petition out side of the game you can do it two different ways. First go to http://www.eve-online.com and start a petition from the "my questions" section of the offical site. The second is to send a out of game useing normal e-mail to [email protected] from your "registered" e-mail that you signed up your eve account with. Both of these ways will open a petition outside of the game of eve.
What are the different types of petitions and do they affect response
time?
When you finally decide you need petition you will see 7 types to choose
from. They are explained in detail in the petition list as you open a petition.
AGENT MISSION IN PROGRESS - Usually within a few hours
to a day
STUCK - In game - Very fast response- DO NOT ABUSE THIS -You will be warned
EXPLOIT - Out of game- 24 Hour response usually - You should get a response
HARRASSMENT - In game - Very fast response- DO NOT ABUSE THIS -You will be warned
CHEAT- Out of game- 24 Hour response usually - You should get a response
BUG REPORT - Out of game- probably won't get a response as this is for bug reporting
- The more you send the more they fix.
If you use the wrong category to petition intentionally to get to a GM,
you will most likely have your petition deleted. Remember to help you and the
game by using the right category!
